Parkinson's disease(PD) is a common neurodegerative disorder that affects approximately 1% of individuals over the age of 60. however, 1 in 10 people with PD are under the age of 50. Over 6.3 Millions people are living with PD and this number will be doubled by 2040.
The disease is characterized by symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, slowness of movement, impaired balance and coordination, changes in speech and writing, impaired sense of smell, constipation, sleep disturbances, depression or anxiety, and cognitive changes.
