Keep moving forward: fighting Parkinson's disease, one step at a time

Parkinson's disease[PD] is the fastest growing neurodegenerative brain disorder in the world and most commonly diagnosed in people over the age of 60, although it can affect younger individuals as well.

It is estimated that approximately 1% of people over the age of 60 are living with Parkinson's disease, with the prevalence increasing to around 4% for those over 80 years old. Men are slightly more likely than women to develop Parkinson's disease, and there may also be some genetic factors that increase the risk of developing the condition.

Parkinson's disease is a global issue, affecting people of all races and ethnicities, although some studies suggest that certain populations may be at a higher risk due to environmental or genetic factors.
